Gracias Easter Cantata is striking an especially strong cord with people in the New York region.  The Cantata depicts the last days, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ in a moving musical reenactment. Gracias Easter Cantata features classical, sacred, and recomposed traditional hymns complete with full orchestra accompaniment.  “Many people think about the Easter story as a very sad story where Christ suffered, but we have created a performance over the past couple years that has redefined this story as one of joy and hope,” said Terry Henderson, the master of ceremonies.

Henderson went on to state, “It’s an eclectic performance with a little bit of everything: rousing solos, group vocals, orchestra instrumentals, and acting. We know that anyone who witnesses Gracias Easter Cantata is going to see why music is more than just entertainment. They're going to see that music represents change and hope.”
