Bronx: Delivery truck kills 16-year-old girl on way to school
A 16-year-old girl, Alissa Kolenovic, has been fatally struck by a delivery truck while walking to school in The Bronx.
According to the police, the incident occured in Wednesday May 4, 2022.
"Alissa Kolenovic was crossing Paulding Avenue at the Neill Avenue intersection in Morris Park around 8:20 a.m. when a truck hit her as the driver turned onto the street," cops said.
Authorities stated that Kolenovic, who lived about a block away, was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center but was later pronounced dead.
Police reported that the truck driver, a 45-year-old man, remained on the scene.
"The investigation is ongoing," cops said.
