Parkchester Kwanzaa Celebration

This year was the fifty-second Anniversary of the Celebration of Kwanzaa. In Parkchester this celebration was held at St. Helena's Church with event organizer Ms. Debra Oguamah and Ms. Nubia Leader who was the Mistress of Ceremonies. Various holiday entertainment performed, there was the lighting of the Kwanzaa Candles (by Ms. Nubia Leader), lots of different vendors for the occasion, Parkchester District Leader John Perez, and Assemblyman Michael Blake who is running for the vacant position of New York City Public Advocate.
