Senate confirms Jennifer Rochon to United States District Court
The United States Senate has confirmed Jennifer Rochon to the District Court.
Congratulating Jennifer Rochon on her confirmation to serve on the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand stated that she is a knowledgeable nominee.
“With her background as a partner at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP and a law clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, Ms. Rochon has proven to be a highly knowledgeable nominee with a sharp legal mind who has a deep understanding of federal law, Gillibrand said.
She added, “Between her experiences within the judicial system, her service in the Peace Corps, and her stint as General Counsel of the Girl Scouts of the USA, Ms. Rochon’s broad record of accomplishment has proven her to be fair-minded and greatly qualified.
"I cannot think of a better person to serve on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.”
