Fatal Shooting in the Bronx

on 1/6/2019 Police are investigating what let to the fatal shooting of a Bronx man near his home Sunday morning.
Nelson Ramos, 29, was shot shortly before 4 a.m. after an argument with one or more people outside the Monroe Houses in Soundview.
Officers found Ramos shot multiple times at 800 Soundview Avenue between story Ave & Lafayette Ave. after a 911 call reported the incident. He was rushed to Jacobi Hospital but did not survive.
A nearby ShotSpotter gunfire detection device was also activated. It’s unclear what the dispute was about. Nelson had a history gun and drug-related arrests, police sources said.
No arrests have been made in the case.
