Councilwoman Amanda Fariás celebrates Dominican independence in NYC
New York Councilwoman, Amanda Fariás, has celebrated Dominican Independence.
Fariás disclosed this via her Facebook page on Tuesday February 28, 2023.
The Councilwoman expressed great excitement that she was part of the celebration in the New York City.
“Last night I celebrated #DominicanIndependence at the City Council with my colleagues and the Dominican community from across NYC,” Fariás wrote.
She congratulated the amazing honorees, Eddie Cuesta, Joselinne Minaya, and Wendy Poveda.
Fariás also appreciated them for all they do for the City.
“It was great to celebrate our Dominican heritage together and share in the joy of the amazing performances,” the Councilwoman stated.
She added, “I’m proud of my Dominican heritage and it has brought many positive influences to how I represent #CD18.
“We are a growing community and I’m excited to be in this Council with colleagues who are showing the very best of our community in NYC.
“Thank you to CMs Delarosa, Abreu, Feliz, Marte and Sanchez.”
