Judge Milton makes history, visits NY Senate
Chief Judge Milton Rey Guevara has made history by visiting the NY Court of Appeals and the NY Senate for the first time ever.
This was disclosed by Senator Luis Sepúlveda via his Facebook page on Tuesday April 18, 2023.
According to Sepúlveda, the historic event brought together legal communities from both nations to exchange ideas and strengthen the relationship between the Dominican Republic and New York.
Esteemed guests including Dominican Ambassador Sonia Guzman joined Chief Judge Rey Guevara on his historic visit.
“This milestone event marks a new era of collaboration between the Dominican Republic and New York,” Sepúlveda said.
He added, “The visit of Chief Judge Rey Guevara to the New York Court of Appeals and State Senate is a testament to the enduring partnership and friendship between the Dominican Republic and New York.
“With the opportunity to share legal experiences and discuss challenges and opportunities in both nations, this historic occasion paves the way for continued collaboration and improvement of the legal system.”
