Manchester United winger Antony accused of domestic violence
Manchester United winger Antony has been accused of engaging in domestic violence, making threats, and causing bodily harm by his former partner in Brazil..
The 23-year-old player, who hails from Brazil, was reportedly involved in a relationship with Gabriela Cavallin in 2022.
According to the Brazilian publication Globo Esporte, Cavallin has filed a police report in Sao Paulo detailing the allegations.
The report states that “Antony physically assaulted Cavallin on May 20th, a day when he represented Brazil in a Premier League match against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium while playing for Manchester United.”
The report also mentions the existence of photographs showing abrasions and threatening messages.
Cavallin is said to have discussed previous instances of aggressive behavior from Antony as well.
Globo Esporte further revealed that “Antony and Cavallin had been in a relationship throughout 2022.”
In June 2022, Cavallin shared on social media thashe had experienced a miscarriage while expecting their first child.
Cavallin is now urging Brazilian authorities to take immediate protective measures while further evidence is gathered in the case.
