Recent campaign filings have unveiled staggering legal expenses for former President Donald Trump, casting a shadow over his 2024 campaign.
Trump’s Save America Leadership PAC is grappling with a massive $1.1 million debt to five law firms, with nearly $3.3 million paid out for legal consulting just last month.
The PAC’s overall legal debt surged by $245,000 from March to April, with the most substantial debt of $837,000 owed to Blanche Law, Trump’s lead counsel in the high-profile hush money trial. Payments to Blanche Law totaled $854,000 in just two weeks in April, reflecting its representation in multiple cases, including the classified documents case and federal election interference case in D.C.
These mounting legal costs pose a significant threat to Trump’s campaign, diverting crucial funds away from campaign activities.
