Bronx completes first phase of $1.7 billion HPAIP

Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson has announced the completion of the first phase of Hunts Point Access Improvement Project.

According to Gibson, the initiative is aimed at improving the quality of life for residents in South Bronx.

The borough president disclosed this on Monday October 31, 2022.

“Today, we celebrated the completion of Phase 1 of the $1.7 billion Hunts Point Access Improvement Project that will help improve the quality of life for our residents and families in the South Bronx,” Gibson said.

She also appreciated New York leaders for the success of the initiative.

“I want to thank Governor Kathy Hochul and our state legislators for this important investment in our borough,” she stated.
