NYPD to arrest man for hurling anti-Asian insults at 59-year-old woman on train
Officials of the New York Police Department (NYPD) seek to arrest a man for attacking a woman on train.
This was disclosed in a statement on Friday August 25, 2023.
NYPD reports:
“A 59-year-old woman boarded a southbound Q train at 14th Street–Union Square around 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.
“On the moving train, a man came up and started hurling anti-Asian insults at her. He also made threats to physically harm her.
“She was able to get off the train safely and was not injured, while the man remained on the train.”
NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is, therefore, investigating the incident.
