The Church of God’s Children (CGC) led by Bishop Angelo Nancy Rosario, has taken to the streets of New York to distribute coats, children’s clothing, books, and toys to youngsters in need.
This benevolent act was shared with the world through a touching Facebook post by Bishop Rosario on Friday.
Expressing gratitude to the NYPD 45 PCT, Bishop Rosario specifically thanked officers such as Lt. Cruz, Det. Hannah Rivera, Det. Socola, and others who joined hands to collect items for families facing hardships.
Despite the rain, the community turned out in support, receiving blessings and demonstrating resilience, Rosario mentioned.
In his post, Bishop Rosario conveyed the joy of the day, emphasizing the significance of giving back to the community.
He extended appreciation to Ray Fraticelli and acknowledged the Church’s commitment to fostering love and support within the neighborhood.
The Church of God’s Children, situated at 127 Dreiser Loop, not only serves as a place of worship but also actively engages in community outreach.
Bishop Rosario invited all to the Sunday Service at 10 AM and encouraged participation in various events such as weddings, baptisms, and pastoral counseling.
Additionally, the Goodwill Ministry, located at 163 Dreiser, under the guidance of Sis. Inez, continues to be a beacon of support for those in need.
The success of this initiative was made possible by the dedicated help staff, including Deacon Felipa, Raymond, Carol, Arelita, Rev. Carmen, Inez, and Latoya.
Rosario highlighted the spirit of teamwork that made the event a reality, using the hashtag #Peace to symbolize the unity and harmony they strive to bring to the community.
As the Church of God’s Children continues to make a positive impact, this act of kindness serves as a reminder of the power of community support and compassion in uplifting the lives of those facing adversity.
