NYC: Man robbed, beaten in Jackson Heights

In a brazen daytime attack, a group of thieves forcibly abducted a man from a bustling street in Jackson Heights, proceeding to assault and rob him before callously abandoning him miles from the scene.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) has intensified efforts to apprehend the perpetrators, releasing surveillance images capturing two of the suspects along with their getaway vehicle.

The harrowing incident unfolded on Monday morning at the intersection of 84th Street and 37th Avenue, a vibrant commercial hub within the neighborhood, around 11 a.m.

Eyewitnesses recounted a chilling scene as the assailants, riding in a gray Nissan Sentra bearing New Jersey license plates (L21NPR), descended upon their unsuspecting victim.

According to police reports, the victim, a 33-year-old male, found himself forcibly removed from the street and thrust into the confines of the awaiting vehicle. Inside, he endured a terrifying ordeal as the assailants subjected him to physical violence while plundering him of his possessions, including a sum of $340 in cash.

The ordeal did not end there for the victim, as the perpetrators callously deposited him more than seven miles away from the initial abduction site. Disoriented and injured, he was left stranded at the intersection of 106th Avenue and Sutphin Boulevard in Jamaica, a considerable distance from where the ordeal began.

Despite sustaining minor injuries during the assault, the victim bravely declined further medical attention at the scene. However, the psychological trauma inflicted by the callous actions of the perpetrators lingers, casting a shadow over the safety and security of the community.

As authorities intensify their search for the culprits, members of the public are urged to come forward with any information that may aid in the apprehension of the suspects. The NYPD has released images depicting two of the four individuals believed to be involved in the heinous crime, along with details regarding their vehicle.
