In a troubling incident that unfolded late last night, an 11-year-old boy was struck by gunfire at the Ocean Hill-Brownsville Houses, situated on the border of Crown Heights and Brownsville in Brooklyn.

The shooting, which occurred at approximately 11 p.m., has sparked concerns over safety and violence in the neighborhood.

According to a report, police responded swiftly to the scene at 324 Howard Ave.

Upon arrival, they discovered the young victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his left arm. The boy’s condition, although serious, was stabilized by emergency responders at the scene.

Following initial treatment, the injured child was promptly transported to Maimonides Medical Center for further medical attention. Fortunately, reports indicate that he is currently in stable condition and is expected to recover.
