New York: OECM announces vacancies for 2 positions

The newly-created Mayor's Office of Ethnic and Community Media has announced vacancies for two positions.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Executive Director Mayor's Office of Ethnic & Community Media, José Bayona, on Wednesday May 18, 2022. 

According to Bayona, OECM has two openings to expand its operational team.

"We are hiring the first-ever Citywide Marketing Director for the City of New York. 

"This role is a historic opportunity for an experienced candidate to work with Mayoral agencies and media vendors to create robust marketing campaigns and strengthen the City's relationship with both the ethnic and community media and mainstream media," the statement reads.

The office also announced a vacancy for a Data Analyst who will provide technical and analytical support to the Mayor's Office of Ethnic and Community Media.

The person, according to the statement, will lead the work of collecting, reporting, and analyzing Mayoral offices' advertising data.

"Come to work with us at City Hall and learn the breadth of the work across the 50+ City agencies and 30+ Mayor's Office units in the Big Apple, the marketing capital of the world," the statement adds.
